A straight answer about the Canadian-side Niagara boat — and how it works if you'd rather be driven.
Yes. The Canadian-side boat formerly branded Hornblower Niagara Cruises operates as Niagara City Cruises. It's the same dock, the same Voyage-to-the-Falls boat below Table Rock.
Hornblower Niagara Cruises ran the Canadian-side boat since 2014, and the operation was rebranded to Niagara City Cruises under the City Experiences banner. The name on the tickets and ponchos changed; the boat, the dock and the route did not. You still board at the Niagara Parks landing below Clifton Hill for the same short sailing to the base of the Horseshoe Falls.
For planning purposes this is the Canadian vessel, which matters more than the branding. The Voyage to the Falls runs roughly 20 minutes, costs about CA$48 plus HST, and operates seasonally from late April into November. Because it never crosses into the United States, no passport is needed — that also makes it a different boat from the US-side Maid of the Mist, which departs from New York and is one we never drive to.
