Your day, step by step

Your boat tour from Scarborough

A private tour — the driver waits at every stop, so the day runs on your clock, from pickup in Scarborough to the soaking at the foot of the Horseshoe aboard Niagara City Cruises.

  1. 01

    Door-to-door pickup

Your chauffeur collects you at your Scarborough address and stows your bags — you travel together, so there's no parking to find at the busiest attraction in Ontario.

  2. 02

    The drive to the river

About 110 minutes down the QEW and onto the Niagara Parkway, arriving at Table Rock above the Horseshoe Falls.

  3. 03

    Board Niagara City Cruises

Walk to the Niagara City Cruises dock (the Canadian-side boat — the same soaked-at-the-Horseshoe voyage as the US Maid of the Mist, no passport). You buy your ~CA$48 ticket at the gate; your driver waits.

  4. 04

    The Voyage to the Falls

The ~20-minute sail carries you past the American Falls to the thundering basin of the Horseshoe — ponchos on, the real reason you came.

  5. 05

    The ride home

Dry off, and the same chauffeur returns you to Scarborough — no traffic stress, no post-soak drive.

Private Niagara boat-tour day trips from Scarborough

Scarborough is a long way east on the 401, and that distance is exactly why a door-to-door car beats juggling GO transfers and a rental for the day. We collect right where you already are — the loop outside Scarborough Town Centre, a driveway off Sheppard in Agincourt, or a lookout run over from the Bluffs. This end of Toronto runs on big multi-generational households and full-house weekends, so the Van seats grandparents and grandkids together without anyone splitting up. Couples slipping out from the Bluffs usually take the Sedan.

From most of Scarborough it is roughly 110 minutes and 152 km each way to the falls. We ride the 401 west across the top of the city, then drop south — the 427 to the QEW on a clear morning, or the 407 toll route when the 401 through North York is stacked up. After that the QEW simply hugs the Lake Ontario shoreline past Burlington and St. Catharines straight into Niagara. Early Scarborough pickups dodge the worst of the westbound crawl, so we always suggest leaving before the rush thickens.

At the falls your driver parks and waits — we are transport only, on the Canadian side only, and we never cross to the US Maid of the Mist. You buy your own gate ticket for Niagara City Cruises (about CA$48 + HST, no passport), a ~20-minute Voyage to the Falls that soaks you at the Horseshoe. Stay for the free nightly illumination and the seasonal ~10 PM fireworks, then ride home. Pricing is flat per vehicle, 13% HST included, no deposit: Sedan CA$580 · SUV CA$820 · Van CA$1,240 for the 6-hour day. Book at (855) 425-5526.

Straight answers

Scarborough → Niagara: your questions

How long is the drive from Scarborough to Niagara Falls?

About 110 minutes each way (152 km) via the QEW and Niagara Parkway, traffic depending. Your chauffeur tracks conditions and times the pickup so you arrive relaxed.

Do you pick up anywhere in Scarborough?

Yes — any Scarborough address: home, hotel, office or a specific landmark. Door-to-door both ways, with no extra charge for the pickup within the area.

Is the Maid of the Mist on the Canadian side?

The Maid of the Mist departs from the US side and needs a passport. On the Canadian side the equivalent boat is Niagara City Cruises — the same voyage to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls, and the boat our tours use. No passport, no border crossing.

Do you sell the boat tickets?

No — we're a transport service. We drive you to the dock and wait; you buy your Niagara City Cruises ticket (about CA$48 + HST) directly at the gate. That keeps our price honest and lets you skip the boat if the weather turns.

Will I get wet on the boat?

Yes — that's the point. The boat sails into the spray at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. A recyclable poncho is provided at the dock, but expect a refreshing soak.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. One flat rate covers the whole car with 13% HST included — the boat ticket is separate and paid at the gate.

When does the boat run?

Niagara City Cruises operates roughly late April through November, weather permitting. Outside that season we still run the day tour to the Falls; the boat simply isn't sailing.
